Baby Fish Count

Although it's very hot we have been outside watching the birds and fish. I have discovered that my fish I once had for my pond have produced. We first saw 2 now the baby fish count is at 6. There are 5 that are brown and 1 that is gold. I bought some fish food to try and get them to come to the top and eat here a few pics.

Coalette sittng in the shade of the garden.

1 of the brown fish.

You can see 1 brown and the gold one.

We have had many tadpoles and never have the eggs looked like this...we researched and think these are toad eggs!

Birds of a feather!

I got a bird feeder for my yard. We have enjoyed watching all the birds come by and try to identify them. Coalette has also enjoyed playing outside. Here is a picture of her in the iris' by the pond.

She has been able to sneak under the bird feeder and watch the birds...no attacks yet.

There was a dove on a nest for a couple of weeks. I didn't get to see the babies b/c it rained really hard one day and the next day the bird was gone.

I've taken the binoculars out to look at some of the birds. Here's a pic I tried to get using the camera and bincoulars.

Spring is Coming!!

Winter has brought no gardening for us! I recieved a palmetto for Valentine's and I can't wait to go and pick it out and put it in my garden. I am also looking forward to working in the garden soon. It really is looking shabby!

Caught in the Act!!!

There's been lots of life in my pond this year. This frog was found on my door. You need to click the video and hear the sounds (I know you can't see anything), just for the sound effects.

This I caught last night, he was swimming. Then there were like 5 others making their love sounds.

Look at their gobblers! Awesome!!

The frog in the water came over to this one and yes, wait for it.......

Jumped on top!!!

The next morning, two were still at it, and there were TONS of eggs. All the little white specs in the water are eggs.

You can see more eggs in this pic.
